Concrete Foundation Construction - Tracy, CA
Concrete Pouring
There are two ways for pouring concrete: through pumping truck and from ready mix truck. During home foundation construction or a high-rise building, pumping trucks are most appropriate because big slabs and a lot of control is involved. The most important factor during pouring is controlling the flow from truck to the site. Normal hose size is 4‘’ but to eliminate the risks of pressure, a 2’’ pumping hose for concrete placement should be used. This hose size enables pumping at maximum speed without creating blow-out risks.
Protecting concrete slabs from moisture seepage
Poor foundations absorb moisture from below and this is what accelerated mold and mildew growth. Moisture also causes poor quality of indoor air. To protect the foundation from water, a drainage membrane should be installed below the slabs. This mechanism is also effective at preventing radon gas accumulation. Additionally, it fills up the voids, cracks, and gaps that could cause settling of the foundation.
Building concrete foundations in cold regions
Extremely cold temperatures affect foundations adversely. We assure our customers that our cold foundation methods will make the building perform as desired. Here are the main factors we consider:
Our foundation contractors demonstrate flexibility when working with ready-mix concrete. They ensure that the right mixture is attained depending on the environmental factors other considerations. We proudly serve Tracy, Fresno, Modesto, San Francisco, Fremont, Stockton, Reno, Sacramento, Bakersfield, San Jose, Oakland, and related towns and cities. Let us hear from you through (209) 600-7358.

Building concrete foundations in cold regions
Extremely cold temperatures affect foundations adversely. We assure our customers that our cold foundation methods will make the building perform as desired. Here are the main factors we consider:
- Excavation should not freeze: a system foundation is based on soil strength. Frost on ground causes the soil to expand if temperatures rise hence altering the support capacity. Building foundation on such soil is bound to settling at some point
- We facilitate concrete protection till it reaches 500psi. the foundation need protection from thawing cycles until they’re at 27 degrees Fahrenheit. It doesn’t mean that walls will not freeze and that is why we provide additional elements like blankets in severe situations to add heat.
- We give top priority to the concrete mixing design. The ratio of cement to water is very critical. Even though water is necessary for hydration, too much water in a freezing environment accelerates susceptibility of a foundation. More water in the concrete mixture would cause the foundation to freeze quickly and this is what we try to avoid the most.
- We pay close attention to the type of cement we apply. We only use top quality cement with greater strength to withstand cold.
- Admixtures are added to increase efficient curing. Admixtures include non-chloride accelerators and calcium and are effective for hydration purposes because they produce higher internal heat hence increasing concrete strength.
- Appropriate temperature during production and delivery of concrete. High temperatures bring more efficiency in cold foundation constructions by minimizing any chances of freezing.
